The inspection feature allows you to inspect and register the amount of waste in an area. It can be a good idea to carry out an inspection before planning an operation in an area. This will also provide other participants with an overview of the scope of waste in inspected areas.
When adding an inspection, select the area you want to inspect using a polygon in the map. The area will then be shown with a black “binoculars” symbol and the status will change to “Scheduled”. A scheduled inspection can be sent either to a relevant field participant who will conduct the inspection or you can perform the inspection yourself. When the inspection has been completed, the colour of the symbol will change to blue and a white check mark will be shown in the corner of the symbol.
The purpose of inspecting an area is to register the extent of waste, which will form the basis for determining how great the clean-up needs are. The system is configured so that you are expected to enter data every 100 metres. The app will issue a notification to document the clean-up requirements for the distance you have covered. There are three different littering categories, which will be colour-coded in the map for the inspection you are conducting.
